Since being involved in the Filtration Industry from the mid 1970’s, initially specialising with Filter Presses and rubber carrier belt type Horizonal Vacuum Belt Filters, “Polyfilters” was formed by Martyn Walton in 1994. Since which
time the "Polyfilter” has been developed into the world’s leading
solution for Horizontal Vacuum Belt Filters, giving it ultra low
capital, operation and maintenance costs, along with unrivalled
reliability.
Since its inception in 1994, which was based on an earlier expired Patent, the "POLYFILTER" vacuum belt filter has been developed and refined over the years and
many of the early filters, now almost 30 years old, are still successfully operating 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with minimal operator involvement and maintenance. The only consumable item on the filter is the
actual filter cloth.
Most companies operating the POLYFILTER Horizontal Vacuum Belt Filters spend more each year sevicing the Managing Directors car than they do on filter spares!
Historically and generally, the filter is operated completely by pneumatics making it ideally suited for ATEX
Hazardous environments.
AJM Polyfilters continues to develop the filter and now with the
introduction of alternative PLC control systems it can be
integrated into most Siemens, Allen
Bradley and Mitsubishi process controls.
